In this project, BlackRock had two goals: create an exciting, high-level sales sizzle for their latest retirement income solution that could be leveraged in meetings with potential partners, and to create educational financial content for employees of their partners as an additional product offering. To meet the first need, we landed on the idea of BlackRock's solution taking users on an "adventurous journey" throughout their lives, and utilized stock and animation to distill the concept quickly and easily. For the latter need, we developed the character of "Ronnie Retirement," a Peleton-esque trainer whose aim is to increase audiences' "financial fitness" through a series of 12-episodes, each explaining a high-level investment concept through an exercise metaphor.
